Steven Sirbovan

Steven is a small-cap capital markets specialist with over 12 years of experience in investor relations, private equity, and investment banking. Prior to founding Blink Capital, he spent 8 years at Echelon Capital Markets (now Ventum Financial), one of Canada’s fastest growing full-service investment dealers. At Echelon, he co-led the Origination Investment Banking group for five years, working exclusively with companies in the high-growth, less than $100M market cap bracket. Over his tenure at Echelon, Steven was directly involved in hundreds of transactions with an approximate aggregate value of half a billion dollars. Steven’s expertise includes raising capital, buy and sell side M&A execution and go-public advisory in many sectors, including metals and mining, industrials, technology, renewables, healthcare, biotech, and consumer products.

Osama Khan

Over Osama’s 8 year career, he spent two years at Raymond James Canada, where he sat on the global Equity Capital Markets desk. His primary responsibilities included helping issuers structure financings, liaise with investment bankers and institutional sales people, and coordinate execution and closing of deals. Over his tenure, he was a key member of 15 book-run transactions, raising more than $500M in aggregate gross proceeds. Additionally, he helped raise capital through the Raymond James retail network, where he built personal relationships with brokers across the country. Prior to Raymond James, Osama worked at Hybrid Financial, where he primarily helped issuers connect with retail advisors, family offices, and global institutions.

Ryan Bates

Ryan has been active in Canadian capital markets for the past five years, with experience in venture capital, investment banking, and private equity fundraising. Ryan has spent time as a Senior Associate, Private Capital Markets at Equiton Capital, and in Investment Banking and Institutional Sales roles at Echelon Capital Markets (now Ventum Financial). Ryan has a breadth of capital markets skills with a particular passion and focus on small-cap issuers, including financial modeling, presentation building, fundraising and M&A support. Ryan’s network spans across Canada, the US and Europe. He is a graduate of Babson College located outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Highlighted Transaction

In August 2024, Volatus Aerospace Corp. and Drone Delivery Canada Corp. announced the closing of a transformative merger of equals transaction, for which Blink Capital acted as a Strategic Advisor. The combined entity created a global market leader in drone services and technology, with expertise in aerial solutions (drone and piloted aircraft), drone equipment sales, and drone cargo services.

Blink Capital played an integral role in all facets of the transaction, including deal analysis, LOI crafting and negotiation, proforma construction, market messaging, definitive agreement review and negotiation and shareholder communications.
